Psyrcuit MFC
Metal Finishing Calculator
Professional estimation software built for metal finishing shops — anodizing, plating, coating, and surface treatment. Fully offline. Configured entirely around your processes and your pricing.
What MFC Is
MFC turns part geometry, your shop's processes, and your fee structure into accurate, professional quotes in minutes. It is a desktop application that installs on your Windows machine and never requires an internet connection to run — your part data, pricing, and quotes never leave your facility.
Built for finishing
Surface-area-driven estimating designed around how finishing work is actually priced — per square inch, per part, per minute, or your own custom units.
Offline by design
No cloud, no accounts, no telemetry. Suitable for ITAR and CUI environments and shops working toward CMMC compliance.
A blank canvas
MFC ships with no assumptions. You define every process, rate, option, and fee — so quotes reflect your shop, not a template.
How an Estimate Comes Together
Every quote follows the same pipeline: describe the part, apply your processes, refine with specification options, layer on fees, and export a branded PDF.
- Describe the part. Pick a shape calculator and enter dimensions, or import a STEP/STL file and let MFC measure the surface area for you.
- Apply processes. Select from the processes you've configured — each carries its own unit type, base rate, and minimum charge.
- Refine with options. Choose specification tiers (class, type, color, and any structure you've defined); their rate modifiers stack automatically and quote notes are generated for you.
- Layer fees. Setup charges, delivery tiers, expedite premiums, percentage adders, and taxes apply according to the targeting rules you set once.
- Export the quote. One click produces a branded PDF with your logo, columns, terms, and signature line — and the quote is saved with full revision history.
Shape Library & 3D Import
Over twenty built-in calculators cover the parts finishing shops see every day. When a part is too complex for a calculator, import the customer's 3D model instead.
STEP & STL import with face selection
Import .step / .stp / .stl files into an interactive 3D viewer — orbit, zoom, and pan around the part. Click individual faces to include or exclude them, then apply the total, selected, or unselected surface area to any process. Masked areas, selective plating, and inside-only coating jobs are priced from real geometry instead of guesswork.
Per-face box pricing
The box calculator lets you toggle each of the six faces, so open-top enclosures and panels are measured exactly as processed.
Unit flexibility
Work in the units your shop uses. Defaults are configurable, and processes can price by SQ IN, SQ FT, EACH, MINUTE, combined, or custom units.
Processes & Specification Options
Processes are the heart of MFC. Create as many as you need — each one is yours: your name, your unit type, your base rate, your minimum.
| Capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Unit types | SQ IN · SQ FT · EACH · MINUTE · COMBINED · CUSTOM — price the way the work is actually done. |
| Base rate & minimum | Every process carries its own rate and minimum charge, applied automatically per line. |
| Option groups | Cascading specification tiers — e.g. specification → type → class → color — each level with its own rate modifier. |
| Stacking modifiers | Modifiers across tiers multiply together, so a Class 2 + hard-coat + black combination prices itself. |
| Quantity multipliers | Options can scale with part count for setup-sensitive work. |
| Auto quote notes | Selected options generate specification callouts on the quote, using note templates you control. |
Your shop, not a template. MFC ships empty on purpose. Nothing is pre-named "anodize" or "powder coat" — you build your catalog once, in your terminology, and every estimator on the team quotes from the same playbook.
Fee, Tax & Materials Engine
Real quotes are more than rate × area. MFC's fee engine captures everything else — consistently, on every quote, without the estimator having to remember.
Eight fee types
- Percentage — adders on processing, materials, or subtotal
- Flat — setup, certs, lot charges
- Per part / per unit — racking, packaging
- Per color — multi-color jobs
- Delivery — distance-tiered, per trip
- Expedite — rush tiers you define
- Conditional — applies only when its rule is met
Precise targeting & rules
- Apply to processing, materials, subtotal, taxable costs, specific processes, artwork, or trips
- Minimum and maximum amounts per fee
- Round up to the nearest dollar amount you choose
- Exemption fields for customer-specific waivers
- Per-fee tax treatment
Materials tracking
Attach materials to quotes with cost per unit, quantity, unit of measure (lbs, gal, oz, kg, L, ea, ft, m), and lead time — so material-heavy jobs carry their true cost and their schedule impact.
Quotes, Revisions & PDF Export
Professional PDFs
Branded output with your logo and company block, configurable columns, full pricing breakdown, terms & conditions, and a signature line. US Letter, A4, or Legal — portrait or landscape.
Quote management
A built-in quote browser tracks recent work and keeps revision history, so requoting last quarter's job means opening it — not rebuilding it.
Selective import / export
Settings export by category — processes, fees, materials, themes, branding, and more — so you can back up your configuration, move it to a new estimator's machine, or share a standard setup across the shop's shared workspace.
Settings, Themes & Team Workspaces
Nine settings areas
Processes · Fees & Taxes · Part Configuration · Units & Defaults · Theme · Branding · PDF Export · Add-ons · System.
30+ themes
Accessibility-aware color presets with automatic contrast handling — comfortable on the shop floor or in the front office.
Shared workspace
Point MFC at a shared network folder and the whole team draws from common Quotes, Settings, Templates, and Backups.
Guided tutorial & safe demo data
A built-in walkthrough tours the application using sandboxed demo data, then offers a clean start. New estimators learn the workflow without touching production settings.
Licensing & Activation
MFC uses a hardware-bound license with no accounts and no recurring connection. Your email is your identity; your license key is generated for your specific machine and verified locally, offline, every time.
Moving to a new computer
Every license includes one self-service transfer per year. Export a transfer file from your current installation, upload it in your account portal, and receive a key for the new machine in minutes. If the old computer has failed, a manual transfer request goes straight to our team.
Your account portal
Request a secure sign-in link by email — no passwords to manage. From the portal you can view licenses, transfer machines, manage team admins and document recipients, update business info (protected by text-message verification), open support tickets, and download the latest installer.
Support & AI Assistance
Every customer gets human support by email and a knowledgeable in-portal assistant. The 24/7 support plan adds depth, priority, and hands-on configuration help.

Built for Regulated Environments
Nothing leaves your facility
MFC runs entirely offline. Part geometry, customer names, pricing, and quotes are stored locally (or on your own network share) — never transmitted to us or anyone else. That makes MFC appropriate for ITAR programs and CUI handling, and a clean fit for CMMC-minded shops.
Signed and verifiable
Installers are code-signed via Microsoft Azure Trusted Signing and published with SHA-256 checksums. Application extensions (add-ons) must carry a valid Psyrcuit cryptographic signature — unsigned code will not load.
Compliance documentation on request
Psyrcuit maintains a security documentation set — including a product security overview, data handling specification, NIST 800-171 responsibility matrix, software bill of materials, and independent penetration test report — available to customers and procurement teams via [email protected].
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
